Four acres of wildflowers, a native slope, and a course that is good for the land it sits on.
A public course can be good for the game and good for the land. In 2023 FOAM seeded roughly four acres of out-of-play ground with wildflowers, turning rough into pollinator habitat that anyone walking Muni can see.
That first phase catalyzed more. FOAM funded a native perennial slope with a gift from partners like Fairway Foundation, Commonwealth Golf Partners, and the City of Asheville. The work continues, one out-of-play acre at a time.
