Thanks to the Walnut Cove Members Association grant, FOAM was able to achieve one of the goals of our mission by purchasing junior golf equipment to offer to juniors from the First Tee Program as well as other juniors who may need to borrow equipment for play or practice while at Asheville Municipal Golf Course. This grant also provided funds to allow the First Tee program and area schools to play and practice here throughout the year. More recently, FOAM was the recipient of a grant from the HV3 Foundation. The HV3 Foundation gives kids affordable access to golf and mentorship.

In 2023 FOAM provided initial funds to seed four acres of areas out of golf play with wildflowers. This project became a catalyst for positive ecological change and extending this type of work into other areas of the course. Commonwealth Golf Partners provided $5,000 in initial funds for a native perennial slope. This funding allowed for FOAM, with the support of the Beverly Hills community, to apply for and receive the City of Asheville Neighborhood Matching Grant in the full amount of $5,000. These projects have set in motion further ecological endeavors around the course.

One of the foundational goals of our organization and an integral part of our mission is to be a fundraising partner for Muni. We hold to that commitment by assisting in providing funding for various ongoing needs around the course. Our most recent upgrades include new benches at various tees throughout the back nine holes, as well as a complete renovation of the bathrooms on the back nine.
